Nashville Predators top prospect drops the gloves in a goalie fight and gets dropped hard
Yaroslav Askarov is one of the Nashville Predators top prospects. He's become known for his over the top celebrations after posting a shutout, including recently bench pressing the goal. But tonight Askarov tried his hand at something a little different and unfortunately it didn't work out well for him.
Late in the 3rd period Askarov paired off against Remi Poirier of the Texas Stars. Unfortunately for Askarov his hands are better at stopping pucks than throwing punches.
Askarov was quickly out matched and dropped to the ice after multiple solid shots. The Nashville Predators likely won't want Askarov taking too many unnecessary shots in the future, but good on him for trying.
