The St. Louis Blues have made an addition to their roster via the professional tryout market ahead of training camp, which opens next week.

On their social media accounts, the Blues announced that they've signed 2014 tenth overall pick Nick Ritchie to a professional tryout contract (PTO), which will see him join the team for training camp and preseason games.

Ritchie, 27, was selected with the tenth overall pick by the Anaheim Ducks over nine years ago and went on to spent parts of five seasons with them, before being dealt to the Boston Bruins. He's also made stops with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Arizona Coyotes and Calgary Flames.

In 74 games between the Coyotes and Flames during the 2022-23 season, Ritchie had 26 points (13 goals, 13 assists), 53 penalty minutes and was a minus-21.

The Blues will open their preseason schedule on Saturday, September 23rd with a pair of split-squad games against the Arizona Coyotes.
