During an intermission segment last night. P.K. Subban spoke about the Carolina Hurricanes and said they're the worst team in the playoffs.

P.K. Subban made some waves on Monday's 'First Take' on ESPN with what he had to say regarding Alexander Ovechkin's record-breaking goal and its place on the list of professional sporting achievements.

Never afraid to speak his mind, Subban rocked the boat by minimizing LeBron James' NBA scoring record.
Subban made the argument during his appearance that LeBron never «instilled fear» into opponents like Ovechkin or NBA all-timers Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, after comparing the two records and referencing the physicality of the NHL and NFL compared to the NBA.
"Jerry Rice's touchdowns? That's something that is actually a little bit more similar," Subban told Steve Levy. "I would say a wide receiver's touchdowns would be more similar to a hockey player. Because you have got a guy charging at you. You have got to worry about defensive players taking your head off."

While everyone else in the world would rather be toasting to the records one by one, Subban is set on emphasizing the resilience required in hockey.
Subban's comments were broadcast on Thursday night's ESPN+ broadcast of the Capitals-Hurricanes game, and Subban defended his position.
Subban called Ovechkin's feat superior to James' and went on to say that the NFL touchdown record by Jerry Rice is one of the few comparable to it.

Subban isn't a big fan of the Carolina Hurricanes

As if these controversial takes weren't enough, Subban fueled further outrage by being extremely critical of the Hurricanes and pronouncing them the worst among the 16 teams that will make the playoffs despite their 100-point season effort.

The fans were left shocked by this statement, and the Hurricanes will make sure to prove him wrong in the playoffs.
Although there are some who will acknowledge that records in football and hockey take stamina and longevity because these are physical sports, to write off an exceptional team so emphatically, like the Hurricanes, is an unanticipated opinion.
The Hurricanes will look to prove Subban wrong once the playoffs begin.
