The Dallas Stars are entering the 2025-26 season with a one-two punch on the wing that few teams in the NHL can match

When the NHL Network dropped its annual list of the league's Top 20 Wings Right Now, two Dallas Stars stood out - literally.
Jason Robertson and Mikko Rantanen, now linemates in Dallas, both earned spots on the list released this week.
It's another reminder that the Stars' top-six forward group is built to challenge anyone in the league.
Rantanen ranked 4th overall, while Robertson slotted in at 16th - a slight drop from last season but still firmly among the NHL's elite.
«We're just scratching the surface of what we can do together,»
Robertson said during an offseason media availability.
And that chemistry is exactly what makes this ranking even more important.
This marks the first time both players have appeared on the list as teammates, and their presence in the top 20 adds fuel to the belief that Dallas might have the best top line in the NHL.

Why the Robertson-Rantanen combo could be the most dangerous in hockey this season

Mikko Rantanen's spot in the top five was no surprise.
The 6-foot-4 Finnish winger has delivered four straight 80+ point seasons and remains one of the most complete offensive threats in the league.
Jason Robertson, on the other hand, saw his stock dip slightly after a quieter playoff performance.
Still, with back-to-back 80-point seasons and a proven scoring touch, he remains one of the most feared goal-scorers in the Western Conference.

The Stars' front office has made it clear they're all in for 2026.
«These guys aren't just stars on paper,»
head coach Glen Gulutzan told reporters.
«They lead, they push pace, and they play off each other.»

I think the rest of the NHL should be paying close attention.
The Stars didn't just land two top wingers - they built a system that lets them thrive.
