Pete DeBoer Loses Locker Room as Multiple Stars Players Voice Frustration Against Him

The Dallas Stars fell in a dominant five game series against the Edmonton Oilers in the Western Conference Finals, and now, it appears there could be some repercussions on the way.

In Game 5, Peter DeBoer pulled Jake Oettinger after allowing two early goals, and the team would go on to be obliterated on home ice to end their season, and after that, the Stars Head Coach would throw his star goaltender under the bus.

That may come back to bite him, as a report from David Pagnotta has revealed that the players expressed frustration over not only that situation, but many throughout the WCF, noting that many of them may not believe in DeBoer as the Head Coach anymore.

Many fans and analysts called for his firing after the season ended, and now, there may be some legitimacy behind that option, as many players revealed their anger with DeBoer during their exit interviews with the team.

DeBoer himself has just one season left with the Dallas Stars, so while this may not end up costing him his job, with one year remaining on his deal, it's safe to say that he'd need to take them to the Stanley Cup Finals at worst to save his job.

With the news that Jason Robertson's name has now come up in trade discussions, it appears that many changes could be on the way in Dallas, and unless something in the organization changes soon, it appears they may need a new bench boss ahead of another Stanley Cup pursuit in 2025/26.
