Fans were left in suspense this morning when star forward Carter Verhaeghe, caused some drama when he left practice early enough to cause the Oilers some grief before crucial Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final.
Verhaeghe was seen delaying the Oilers' practice and taking his sweet time skating alone.
He has 20 points (7G, 13A) in 22 postseason games this year so far. While he only scored 20 goals in the regular season, down from his previous outputs of 42 and 34, he recently said that the team was feeling good about getting themselves prepared for the postseason where the real work begins.
