When the Los Angeles Kings traded for and signed Pierre-Luc Dubois it was supposed to be a huge win for the franchise. Unfortunately for LA, it's been everything but a win. This season PLD has already seen time on the Kings' fourth line as the team seems to have run out of answers of what to do with him.
After being acquired Dubois signed an 8-year contract with an annual cap hit of $8,500,000 per season. With that lofty contract came high expectations, but this season in 62 games, Dubois has just 14 goals and 14 assists for 28 points. Now it appears after just 62 games, it sounds like the Kings are shopping the polarizing center.
Before Dubois was dealt to Los Angeles, he was also linked to the Boston Bruins, so it's not surprising the Bruins would circle back on him. The Bruins have also been reported to have been shopping Linus Ullmark to try and create some cap flexibility and allow them to extend Jeremy Swayman.
