Inflation seems to be grabbing all of us by the neck, and here's a perfect example. Can't afford a high-priced jersey to represent the home team at a game? Well, now you can rent one in some places.
X user @MrsHartzy posted a photo from outside a recent hockey game in St. Paul, Minnesota. A truck parked near the Xcel Energy Center where the Wild play is renting Minnesota jerseys to fans for the price of $20 each.
What's not exactly clear is how the person renting the sweaters is ensuring they get returned after the game. Relying on the honor system would likely result in many losses.
Real NHL jerseys are expensive, no doubt about it. It will be interesting to see if this starts happening in other NHL cities in the U.S. and Canada.
