Marc-Andre Fleury is nearing the end of his National Hockey League career and the 38-year-old gave an update on his playing future in a recent interview with RDS.

Fleury told reporters while at a charity golf event in Quebec that the 2023-24 season may be the last of his legendary National Hockey League career.

"I really like Minnesota. It's a good group of guys and every night we have the chance to win games, which is important. It could also be my last year. I will try to take advantage of it as much as possible." Fleury said.

The Sorel, Quebec native is arguably one of the greatest goaltenders in National Hockey League history and the numbers definitely back that up. He sits third all-time in wins with 544, which is only seven behind Patrick Roy for second. Fleury also sits 12th on the all-time shutout list with 73.

Fleury also has plenty of awards to his name including three Stanley Cup championships, a Vezina Trophy, a William M. Jennings Trophy, as well as countless All-Star Game nominations.

There's no doubt that Fleury will be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in a matter of years. If Fleury does retire next Spring, he'll be eligible for induction in 2027 and there's a very good chance he'll be a first-ballot Hall of Famer.
