Less than 24 hours after the University of Minnesota suffered a heartbreaking overtime loss, one of their top players has finally committed to making the jump to the NHL. With Logan Cooley, Brock Faber and Matthew Knies all eligible to sign NHL deals it was only a matter of time before one chose to sign an NHL deal.
Today shortly after 11 am, Brock Faber made the decision to sign a 3-year entry level deal with the Minnesota Wild. The deal begins this season and could see Faber play minutes as early as this week with the Wild.
Locked in Brock! ✍️
We've signed defenseman Brock Faber to a three-year, entry level contract.
Faber was drafted 45th overall by the LA Kings in the 2020 draft. Faber was a key piece in the deal which helped the LA Kings acquire Kevin Fiala during the off season.
