Defenders season is over after hard collision into the boards
Defenceman Ben Harpur scored his first goal of the season and injured himself all on the same play. In an AHL game on November 3rd against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, Harpur drove to the net and scored the first goal of the game, unfortunately after scoring the goal, Harpur fell into the boards injuring his shoulder.
It has been revealed today that Harpur will miss the rest of the season after having pectoral surgery.
The 28 year old, is signed until the end of the 2024-25 season with a cap hit of $787,500.
Harpur has played in 198 NHL games with the Ottawa Senators, Nashville Predators, and New York Rangers scoring 2 goals and 21 points.
