It's been a season to forget for the Ottawa Senators after having high expectations coming into new campaign.

The team went out and made some pretty big signings in Vladimir Tarasenko and Joonas Korpisalo, but the Senators didn't play as many had expected going into the season and they find themselves outside the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference.

One name to keep an eye on over the next week is Vladimir Tarasenko, who only signed with the Senators for one-year and will become an unrestricted free agent on July 1st.

According to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, Tarasenko is expected to be traded by the Senators before March 8th and the Russian forward is open to a move and waiving his no-trade clause.

"Like Adam Henrique in Anaheim, the expectation is Vlad Tarasenko will be moved by the #GoSensGo ahead of the deadline. Speaking to those close to him, Tarasenko is open to a trade and will waive his NTC for a Cup contender."

Tarasenko, 32, has played well for the Senators this season and would be a solid addition to a contending team's second or third line. In 55 games, the Yaroslavl native has 38 points (15 goals, 23 assists), 12 penalty minutes and is a plus-12.

There certainly will be a number of teams that will be lining up to acquire Vladimir Tarasenko before March 8th and it'll be interesting to see where he ends up, potentially a reunion with the New York Rangers who are searching for a forward or maybe even the Los Angeles Kings who are deadline with injuries issues.
