It's been an emotional time in the city of Nottingham in England following the passing of former NHLer Adam Johnson.

Tributes have poured in across the sporting world for Johnson and on Saturday, his EIHL club held a memorial for fans to attend at the team's arena.

On Sunday, English Premier League club Nottingham Forest F.C. paid tribute to Johnson during the 47th minute of their game against Aston Villa.

The fans in the stands at City Ground, along with Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper and the players on the pitch have a standing ovation for Adam Johnson, as can be seen in the video below.

"Powerful & poignant scene as the City Ground remembers Adam Johnson, an American hockey player tragically killed in an on-ice accident playing for Nottingham Panthers. ❤️🙏" Men In Blazers said in a post on X.

The thoughts of everyone here at Blade of Steel remain with Adam Johnson's family and friends, as well as the Nottingham Panthers and their fans at this difficult time.
