The St. Louis Blues have a huge game on the schedule tonight as they are hosting the Vegas Golden Knights, with both teams in a battle for the final Wild Card spot in the Western Conference. Vegas has a four point lead on St. Louis with a game in hand, so the stakes tonight could go a long way in deciding the Blues fate.

Vegas got on the board first with rookie Pavel Dorofeyev scoring his 11th goal of the season to give the Golden Knights the 1-0 lead. A few minutes later an injury would strike the Blues, as forward Brandon Saad was on the wrong end of a heavy hit by Vegas defenceman Brayden McNabb.
Blues captain Brayden Schenn immediately challenged McNabb to drop the gloves. Both veterans have been in a few tilts in there career and put on another dandy in St. Louis tonight with both exchanging some big blows.
Good to see the Blues captain come to the defence of his fallen teammate. Unfortunately, for St. Louis they are still down by a goal at the end of the 1st in a critical must win.
