Bad news for the Toronto Maple Leafs as Tampa Bay Lightning get MAJOR boost ahead of game 3
The Toronto Maple Leafs thoroughly dominated the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 2 of their Atlantic Division playoff matchup. The Leafs won the game 7-2 and swung the momentum in their favor as the series heads back to Tampa Bay. The injuries that piled up for Tampa Bay seemed like it could create an insurmountable hurdle.
However, if you're a hockey fan you already knew that the Lightning weren't going to go down without a fight. You also knew that it would take a miracle to keep Victor Hedman out of the lineup. Sure enough ahead of today's morning skate, Victor Hedman was ok the ice.
Not only was Hedman on the ice, but as practice began he took part in regular line rushes alongside his usually defensive partner Nick Perbix.
However after practice Jon Cooper tempered expectations for Hedman.
Victor Hedman is a game-time decision, says Jon Cooper. He'll take warmups.
With a warrior like Hedman there is NO doubt that he will make a return at some point during this series. The question just becomes how much will he be able to offer his teammates.
Erik Cernak was not at practice and is rumored to be dealing with a concussion after being hit in Game 1 by Michael Bunting.
