The Toronto Maple Leafs are set to face off tonight against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Maple Leafs lineup has been riddled by injuries and has faced some unique challenges already this season. However, over the last few days the team has also been forced to battle a flu, which forced Matthew Knies out of the lineup Tuesday night.
At morning skate, Head Coach Sheldon Keefe spoke to reporters about tonight's lineup and while Keefe acknowledged the illness, he also mentioned something which caught fans attention.
It's unclear what Keefe is referring to, but it has been reported that the Maple Leafs have been searching the trade market for help for their defense. Fans immediately began to speculate after Keefe's comment.
