Major update on the health of Dylan Larkin after scary looking injury
Last week during a game against the Ottawa Senators, Red Wings forward Dylan Larking suffered an extremely scary looking injury. On the play Larkin was tangled up with Parker Kelly and Mathieu Joseph. As the three men battled for the puck, Larkin was struck in the head and neck area, before falling face first to the ice where he remained momentarily motionless.
Larkin was eventually helped to the locker room by medical staff and teammates. Since the injury the Red Wings have been very quiet and have provided few details about Larkin's potential return. The team had previously stated that Larkin was expected to "miss time" but at no point would they share how much.
Today, however, in a very surprising sight, Larkin made his first appearance back on the ice with teammates at practice.
This was an extremely welcomed update and while it appears Larkin is only participating in a limited capacity, this is a great sign for his potential return. Here is hoping that Larkin can get back up to speed quickly and back into the lineup whenever he is cleared to do so.
