With Nick Robertson getting a new deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs, there have been fears that the team overpaid, but there is one analyst who disagrees.
Nick Robertson signed a one-year deal worth $1.825 million on Saturday, and there have been a ton of debates about whether or not this was a good deal.
After scoring 15 goals last season, and only playing three playoff games, there have been concerns that the forward just doesn't fit on this team anymore.
However, there is at least one analyst who believes this new contract is an absolute steal for the Leafs that fans will eventually learn to appreciate.

That analyst is Dom Luszczyszyn of The Athletic, who recently offered his reasoning behind why this is going to be for the Leafs.
Overall, Luszczyszyn argues that Robertson can be a solid top-nine player all season, and will be able to increase his goal-scoring acumen.

If this is true, then the Leafs would be better off keeping Robertson for the season. That said, there have been trade rumors involving the forward, and no one knows what the Leafs will eventually decide.
Ultimately, the Leafs are not in an easy position right now, and it will be tough for them to make a choice.
With numerous bottom-six players on the roster, one has to wonder if general manager Brad Treliving will give up Robertson, especially with guys like Bryan Rust on the market.
Either way, these next couple of weeks are going to be fascinating to watch play out.
