Brad Treliving Gives His Take on the Toronto Maple Leafs' Newest Additions
Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving is officially weighing in on all of the new players he added to the roster this summer, despite various obstacles.
Brad Treliving has not been having an easy summer as the general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, especially when you consider the departure of Mitch Marner.
Replacing Marner was always going to be impossible for the franchise to do, but you can always attempt to do so in the aggregate with a wide variety of players.
For instance, Treliving has brought in guys like Matias Maccelli, Nicolas Roy, and even Dakota Joshua. Whether that is enough remains to be seen.
Brad Treliving judges his work with the Toronto Maple Leafs
This past week, Treliving got to speak to the media, where he was very honest about his thoughts and feelings on the new additions to the team.
He noted that the team has a new identity and that these players are going to help forge that new identity to new heights.
We've had some turnover. You credit the coaches because we've changed our identity a little bit. I thought they did a really good job of building that throughout the year. There are lots of players that come back, and there are lots of things that you carry over, but training camp is the time that you start building your team, so I think every team's a bit of a work in progress when you come to camp.
There are changes, there are new players coming, there are young players, and I'm excited to integrate the new players that we have. But everybody's sort of finding their role and where they fit.»

If you are a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, you can't help but be a bit anxious about this upcoming season, given the fact that Marner is gone.
We have not seen what the team looks like without him in over a decade, which makes this that much more frightening.
However, the Leafs do have a plethora of talented players, and it will be interesting to see how guys like Auston Matthews are able to adapt.
No matter what, the Maple Leafs will surely be one of the most intriguing teams to watch, regardless of who you root for.
