Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving was a busy man during the Summer, and with the season set to begin soon, he is answering tough questions.

Brad Treliving did not have an easy start to the Summer as it began with Mitch Marner leaving the Toronto Maple Leafs for the Las Vegas Golden Knights.
Luckily for Treliving, he was able to flip Marner into Nicolas Roy, who is expected to be a third-line center for the franchise going forward.
He also added players like Dakota Joshua and Matias Maccelli. It remains to be seen whether or not these players can have some big bounce-back seasons.

Brad Treliving gets honest about the Toronto Maple Leafs roster

The team still has a few holes, including a lack of top-six talent. Furthermore, the team is also missing a puck-moving defenseman to complement Morgan Rielly.
Recently, Treliving was asked about the Leafs roster and whether or not any more moves were coming. Unfortunately for Leafs fans, the answer was not particularly satisfying.
We're always looking. I don't think you ever stop. Whether it happens or not, we'll see. We've got a lot of bodies right now, so we'll see. More than likely, unless something changes, we'll go with what we've got and see where it all sorts itself out We're excited about the group we've got, but we'll see what it looks like once we get going and get everybody up to speed and get the new players acclimated to the team, the market, their teammates, and really where they fit.
Don't expect the Maple Leafs to make any big roster changes between now and the start of the season. The only way something happens is if it falls into their lap.
Overall, the Maple Leafs are in a unique spot right now, as they are a team looking to avenge their Game 7 loss to the Florida Panthers last season. However, without Marner, that won't be easy.
The Maple Leafs are a very good team, and there is no denying that. Regardless, they are still at risk of regressing, at least for one season.
Needless to say, this is going to be a fascinating season for both Leaf fans and Leaf haters.+
