The Toronto Maple Leafs are looking to make a big trade, and with the salary cap being an issue, guys like Brandon Carlo and Max Domi are being put in the crosshairs.
If you have been watching the Toronto Maple Leafs this season, then you probably agree that Brandon Carlo and Max Domi have been among the most disappointing players on the team this season.
Domi can't seem to get any points, while Carlo is not the shutdown defenseman that the team truly needs him to be.
Both of these players have large cap hits right now, and with the Leafs looking to improve the team, they are currently seen as detriments to the salary situation.

In fact, David Pagnotta is now reporting that Carlo and Domi are likely to be traded if the Maple Leafs do take a huge swing on the market.
These are players who would be wanted by other teams, and getting them off the cap would end up helping the Maple Leafs tremendously.
They need more [cap space] if they're gonna an impact type of move, which is why Domi and Carlo's names are out there; they're gonna have to get a little bit creative
There are a plethora of players that the Maple Leafs are looking at right now, although it remains to be seen if a trade will actually happen.
The Leafs are on a five-game losing streak right now, and the fans are calling for a major move to be made.
Brad Treliving is feeling the heat right now, and it really does feel like the Leafs are reaching a pressure cooker type of situation.
On Tuesday, they will play the St. Louis Blues and if they lose, we imagine there are going to be some truly livid fans out there.
