Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Chris Tanev and forward Scott Laughton have been out with injuries, and today at practice, there was something to be excited about.

Chris Tanev and Scott Laughton are two Toronto Maple Leafs players who are dealing with injuries right now. Although to different degrees of severity.
Laughton suffered his lower-body injury at the start of the NHL season, and he has yet to play a regular-season match, which has forced the team to compromise its lineup.
Meanwhile, Chris Tanev suffered an upper-body injury against the New Jersey Devils last week and has been forced to miss a total of two games so far.
Neither player is slated to play against the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday, although there is some good news coming out of Toronto.

Scott Laughton and Chris Tanev skate together

As you can see below, both Tanev and Laughton were skating this morning prior to the Toronto Maple Leafs' practice. The team is preparing for a game against the Calgary Flames on Tuesday.
While we still do not have a timeline for Tanev and Laughton's return, it is becoming clear that the Leafs could get their players back sooner rather than later.
The Maple Leafs are in need of some kind of good news, and tomorrow night's game could very well bring that if they manage to win.
As for Laughton, they would love to have him back since the forward lines have been a bit messed up ever since he left. His chemistry with Easton Cowan and Steven Lorentz was phenomenal in the preseason.
Meanwhile, Tanev is one of the best defenseman on the team, and in some respects, has become more important to the overall success of the club than Morgan Rielly.
This is a developing story that we will continue to keep you updated on.
