Team Canada captain Sidney Crosby was on the receiving end of a huge hit from Radko Gudas that could have major implications for the Winter Olympics.
Sidney Crosby was hit hard by Radko Gudas in this morning's quarter-final matchup between Team Canada and Team Czechia.
The forward could not put any weight on his leg and ended up going to the bench before going to the dressing room to get looked at by doctors.
This is not good for Team Canada, especially when you consider how the team is currently losing the game by a score of 2-1.
They have made some lineup changes, with Nathan MacKinnon going to the first line because of the fact that this team needs offense.
There have been some tense moments for this Canadian team, and they need an explosion of offense from their top guys.
If you are Jon Cooper, you can't help but be appalled by the effort and body language your team is giving right now, especially in the midst of a rough game.
The Canadians cannot afford to lose. If they do, then they will not medal in this tournament, which is an embarrassment given their roster.
Overall, this is a team that should be winning games handily. At the time of writing this, Canada is on a power play, which could save the game.
At the end of the day, we hope that Sidney Crosby is able to return, as he is extremely important to this team's chances.
He is the captain, and has the ability to wrangle the troops in the second half of this game.
