Elliotte Friedman Gets the Last Word on Nazem Kadri to the Toronto Maple Leafs Rumors
The Toronto Maple Leafs and Nazem Kadri have been embroiled in numerous rumors, although Elliotte Friedman is officially putting his foot down before his vacation.
Nazem Kadri is playing well for the Calgary Flames right now, although there are all sorts of rumors about him being traded.
Of course, his former team, the Toronto Maple Leafs, is wrapped up in these rumors. They need a center, and after scoring 35 goals last season, they could use him back.
These rumors have been driving the insiders nuts, especially since there hasn't always been a true validity to them.
Is Nazem Kadri going to the Toronto Maple Leafs?
On the final episode of '32 Thoughts' of the season, Elliotte Friedman talked about the Kadri rumors and the fake quotes that have been attributed to him.
He made it clear that, as it stands, there is no motivation for the Flames to trade Kadri right now.
The player himself is happy where he is, and for the time being, it seems very unlikely that this would change.
You know the one thing I do want to say is I don't think I've ever been around something where there were more fake quotes attributed to me in the last week than Nazem Kadri.
I don't know what is going on with you people out there.
People were sending me these quotes they'd said about Kadri and I actually had to send them to the teams and say guys I know you're gonna get calls about this I didn't say this stuff.
You know I just think with Kadri the Flames have been asked about him before.
They have him for term unless he comes to them and says I don't think it's working here I want to go somewhere to compete or they absolutely get their socks blown off to the point where they have to go to him and say we want to do this.
I don't think that's happening like I don't think the Flames are really in a hurry to trade Nazem Kadri right now. Not after he had such a fantastic season for them.

If Kadri did demand a trade, the likelihood of him wanting to come back to the Maple Leafs is extremely high, and we could see it happening.
But for now, Maple Leafs fans need to give up that dream before they get their hopes up too high.
General Manager Brad Treliving is working on moves, but for now, you can forget about one of them being Kadri.
