Interestingly enough, the Las Vegas Golden Knights already gave a massive contract to Mitch Marner, his future linemate.

Overall, the Eichel and Marner dynamic is going to be an interesting one, but this potential contract extension situation already threatens to cause a great divide.

According to Elliotte Friedman on '32 Thoughts,' Eichel and the Golden Knights have already started working on a potential extension.

Because of Eichel's status as one of the best centers in hockey, it appears as though the forward is going to make more money than Mitch Marner.

Of course, if you know anything about Marner and his father, Paul, then you know that this could cause some major drama within the organization.

There were all kinds of rumors and reports that the Marner's took issue with Auston Matthews having the captaincy, while also making more money.
