How will Kevin Fiala Injury Affect the Toronto Maple Leafs?

Unfortunately for Kevin Fiala, he suffered a season ending injury at the Olympics when Team Switzerland played Team Canada, the Los Angeles Kings now have a big hole to fill as they lost their second top scorer as they battle for a playoff spot.
The Toronto Maple Leafs now have a chance to leverage a Bobby McMann trade to the Kings for top dollar as they desperately need some scoring.

Thomas Williams of Editor in Leaf reported on what the Fiala injury means for the Maple Leafs, they desperately need some added scoring, with only Adrian Kempe as a viable option for offence, they will be looking to spend a little extra to get them into the playoffs.
"Bobby McMann is someone who, while not nearly as skilled as Fiala, could at least bring some of his goalscoring while making up for the difference in other attributes like physicality. The Leafs winger is likely to be moved before the March 6 trade deadline, so it seems like a more natural fit now especially with Fiala being out."-Williams
The Leafs are asking for a first round pick in exchange for McMann, and with the desperation the Kings have right now they might get it and then some. The Leafs should be looking to getting things moving right away after the Olympics.
"Regardless of the actual return, the team and player do feel like a perfect fit. It just depends if Holland will want to pay assets for a potential rental forward when their second-best winger just had his season ended. It wouldn't be like him to give up on the season, but pay a fairly high price for someone like McMann? It's a tough decision"-Williams.
With many teams looking to get a top six winger, the phone will be ringing constantly for McMann. But it looks like the Kings will be the ones with the Leafs on speed dial, trying to get a deal done.
