Pittsburgh Penguins general manager Kyle Dubas has been busy to start the season, and his former team, the Toronto Maple Leafs, might want to get in on the action.

Kyle Dubas was a busy man last week as he was able to secure a trade for Stuart Skinner and Brett Kulak, all while sending Tristan Jarry to the Edmonton Oilers.
At this point, no one knows who is going to be crowned the winner of this deal. Skinner is a goaltender who has had some troubles this season, while Kulak has just two points in 31 games.
Despite this, it seems pretty clear that Dubas has a plan. The Penguins are a decent team this season, and while they are backsliding a bit right now, there is an opportunity for them to do some damage.
The trade deadline is coming up in March, and there is this feeling around the league that Dubas wants to flip some of the assets he just obtained.

Stuart Skinner and Brett Kulak might be available

This was echoed by Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman, who explained that numerous teams will be calling Dubas' phone in very short order.
I have no doubt that Kyle Dubas' phone will be ringing, what are you doing with Stuart Skinner, what are you doing with Brett Kulak, what are you thinking here; does he wanna keep them, does he wanna flip them
Where do the Toronto Maple Leafs fit in all of this? Well, they have had some serious issues this season when it comes to the health of their goaltenders and the health of their defensemen.
With that in mind, Skinner and Kulak are two players who could be on the Leafs' radar, especially if their roster is depleted come March.
While these two would not be the most ideal players to have on the team, especially when you factor in their stats, they might be the only options available.
Of course, if the Leafs can stay healthy, the point is moot. But if not, the Leafs' former general manager could very well provide some relief, for the right price.
