Toronto Maple Leafs goalie Anthony Stolarz is currently being looked at by the rest of the league, and Elliotte Friedman has an interesting update for us.

If you have been paying attention to the Toronto Maple Leafs as of late, you know that the team is trying to make some deals at the NHL trade deadline.
One of the players currently garnering some attention is goaltender Anthony Stolarz. As we reported on Saturday, the goalie even has interest from the Philadelphia Flyers.
For the most part, Stolarz has not been very good this season. However, he has term on his contract, which makes him attractive around the league.
Not to mention, goaltending is at a premium these days, which creates a unique situation for the Leafs and their netminders.

Elliotte Friedman on the Anthony Stolarz situation

According to Elliotte Friedman, the Maple Leafs are, indeed, looking to trade Stolarz, and have been fielding calls around the league.
Stolarz, to me, is an interesting one. This is a guy who just extended a few months ago. I’m curious about the fact that they are already looking to trade him. If they’re worried about him physically, that’s one thing, but a year ago him and Woll were the second-best goalies in the league.
At the end of the day, the Maple Leafs are going to have to figure this out. Stolarz has a goals-against average of 3.55 and a save percentage of .882.
These numbers are a far cry from his 2.14 goals-against average last season. That said, it is hard to say if Stolarz can get back to last year's performance.
Fans have been left disappointed by him this season, and it's hard to believe that there is such a massive market for him.
It is going to be interesting to watch, and going forward, the Maple Leafs are going to have to make some real big decisions.
