The Toronto Maple Leafs are playing against the Edmonton Oilers tonight, although some external factors are keeping stars out of the team's lineup.

Tonight is an important one for the Toronto Maple Leafs, who are looking to get themselves another two points and get closer to a playoff spot.
The Atlantic Division is having a surge of success, and every time the Leafs pick up some points, their rivals do the exact same thing, which is a problem.
Now, the Leafs get to play an Edmonton Oilers team that is playing well below its capabilities this season. It should be an interesting game, and the fans are eager to watch how it plays out.
Unfortunately, the Leafs' lineup is in a bit of a predicament, as an illness has begun to ravage the locker room and keep guys off the ice.

Maple Leafs lineup against the Oilers is a work in progress

William Nylander and Dakota Joshua did not take part in the morning skate today, and their status for tonight's game is up in the air.
As a result, Matias Maccelli finds himself on the third line with Nicolas Roy and Bobby McMann, while Calle Jarnkrok is on the fourth line with Steven Lorentz and Scott Laughton.
The top line should be no surprise, as Auston Matthews, Matthew Knies, and Max Domi are playing together. Easton Cowan, John Tavares, and Nick Robertson will make up the second line.

There was also some good news about Oliver Ekman-Larsson, as he participated at practice and was on the top pairing with Morgan Rielly.
Now, the Leafs will just have to wait and see whether or not this illness ends up being a problem, of if Nylander and Joshua can get over it by game time.
