Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander finally snapped his point-less streak on Thursday, although tonight's game against the Edmonton Oilers is in limbo.

William Nylander was on a four-game streak without a point going into Thursday night's matchup against the San Jose Sharks.
Despite a demotion, Nylander was able to genuinely turn things around and finish the game with two assists. It was an awesome performance, although it was lacking on defense.
Tonight, the Leafs are playing the Edmonton Oilers, and they need to be on their best behavior if they want to pick up another two points.
Unfortunately, a new update from morning skate has many wondering whether or not the Leafs will be at full strength today.

William Nylander and Dakota Joshua out (for now) with illnesses

According to the Maple Leafs' public relations account on X, William Nylander and Dakota Joshua are not participating in the morning skate.
Both players are dealing with an illness, and it remains to be seen if they will be in the lineup. They are likely going to be game-time decisions, regardless of head coach Craig Berube's optimism.
We have had a couple of instances this season where a player has said they will play after missing morning skate, only to bow out at the last minute.
With that in mind, the Maple Leafs are going to have to prepare themselves for the real possibility that they will be without Nylander and Joshua tonight.
This means guys like Matias Maccelli and Calle Jarnkrok will be in the lineup. If Nylander and Joshua draw in, we imagine they will be promptly taken out.
Whatever the case may be, this is not an ideal situation for the Maple Leafs, and we're sure fans are a bit concerned about how this will all play out.
