The Toronto Maple Leafs were bounced from the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Saturday night at the hands of an old foe, the Boston Bruins, who defeated them in Game 7, courtesy of a David Pastrnak overtime winner.
There will be plenty of changes over the coming weeks and in the summer for the Toronto Maple Leafs and one of those could be a new Head Coach to replace Sheldon Keefe, if he's let go by the organization.
During the second intermission, former NHLer and current analyst Paul Bissonnette jokingly told Berube on-air that he would break the news of him becoming the next Head Coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Joking or now, Craig Berube would be a solid veteran coach for the Toronto Maple Leafs. He has plenty of experience behind the bench in the National Hockey League. He won the Stanley Cup in his first season with the St. Louis Blues during the 2018-19 season and led them to four playoff appearances in parts of six seasons with the organization.
It'll be interesting to see what changes the Toronto Maple Leafs could make, but there's no doubt that Craig Berube will be high on their list to become their next Head Coach, if they move on from Sheldon Keefe.
