Toronto Maple Leafs Announce Shocking Starting Goalie Decision Against the Senators

Tonight is a big-time matchup for the Toronto Maple Leafs as they are taking on one of their biggest rivals, the Ottawa Senators.

Overall, the Senators are trying to get themselves into the playoffs while the Leafs are trying to somehow win the Atlantic Division.

It is not going to be easy and if they want to make sure that they can do it, they are going to have to get some amazing goaltending from Anthony Stolarz and Joseph Woll down the stretch.

These two goaltenders have mostly been splitting the duties throughout the season, but there is no doubt that a solid starting goalie decision is going to have to be made soon.

Well, based on the news coming out of morning skate today, it would appear as though Craig Berube may have just decided on his playoff starter.

Despite playing two nights ago against the Florida Panthers, Anthony Stolarz will be seeing the net tonight against the Ottawa Senators.

Stolarz allowed three goals on 25 shots during Thursday night's loss and overall, it was a game that the Leafs should have won, but lacked offense.

This season, Stolarz has a goals-against average of 2.37 and a save percentage of .920.

After an amazing start to the season, he has regressed a bit and this is going to prove worrisome as the playoffs get closer and closer.

Meanwhile, we will probably see Joseph Woll in the net on Monday against the Calgary Flames in yet another important game.

Only time will tell whether or not these two goalies will rise to the occasion moving forward.
