On Tuesday night, the Toronto Maple Leafs are going to get to play against the Florida Panthers in a game that is going to be important for both teams' playoff hopes.

The Toronto Maple Leafs and Florida Panthers are two teams that are in desperate need of some good luck right about now.
They are both on the outside looking in of the postseason, and their schedules aren't exactly easy. Both teams need to figure it out, and it feels like the Leafs and Panthers are shrouded in uncertainty.
A lot of this has to do with the fact that both squads are dealing with an unruly amount of injuries. For instance, the Leafs won't have Chris Tanev, Dakota Joshua, or Jake McCabe for tomorrow night's game.
However, the Leafs will be happy to know that a stud defenseman for the Florida Panthers, Seth Jones, is also going to be out of the lineup.

With 24 points in 40 games, Jones has been sensational for the Panthers. However, after an injury in the Winter Classic, it looks like he will have to miss a few weeks.
Earlier today, it was confirmed by Paul Maurice that Jones is going to be week-to-week, which means he will not be in the lineup against Toronto.
Whether or not this actually moves the needle for the Maple Leafs in this game is something that very much remains to be seen.
The Toronto Maple Leafs need any break they can get right now. Jones going down for this game could very well hand the team a win.
However, on the flip side of that, the Leafs could have themselves a stinker, regardless of who is on the Panthers' blue line.
Tomorrow night should be an interesting game, and it will be fascinating to see what the Leafs are able to achieve with their current roster.
