Toronto Maple Leafs make three major lineup changes against the Penguins
Tonight, the Toronto Maple Leafs are playing the Pittsburgh Penguins, and there is no doubt that a win could change a lot here.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are making some big lineup changes against the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight.
William Nylander is back in the lineup, as is Max Domi. Meanwhile, defenseman Philippe Myers is back in for Simon Benoit who is out for personal reasons.
From there, Matias Maccelli and Calle Jarnkrok are going to be healthy scratches for tonight's game.
This game against the Pittsburgh Penguins is an important one for a variety of reasons. In fact, one could argue that the Leafs' season hinges on this second half of a back-to-back.
If you are a Maple Leafs fan, you know that this team has not been good. They have made some pretty terrible plays, and have lost in retched ways.
The way they lost against the Washington Capitals on Friday night was simply unacceptable, and there is no telling what is next for the team.
Max Domi's opportunity for redemption
In case you haven't noticed, Max Domi has not been good for the Toronto Maple Leafs this season. With just six points in 23 games, he needs to be better.
Head coach Craig Berube has made it clear to Domi that something has to give, otherwise, he is going to be scratched a lot more often.
The Maple Leafs are better when everyone is playing their best hockey. Not to mention, they have to play as a unit and not as individuals.
If Domi continues to struggle, then perhaps there is no other choice but to trade him.
