Toronto Maple Leafs Quietly Put Beloved Defensive Prospect on Waivers

Yesterday, the Toronto Maple Leafs put David Kampf on waivers, although they also put a defensive prospect who is likely to have a big season with the Toronto Marlies.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are about to begin their regular season on October 8th, and before then, the team has to make some big decisions.
For instance, some players need to be put on waivers so that they can subsequently go down to the Toronto Marlies, the franchise's AHL affiliate.
In fact, on Friday, the Toronto Maple Leafs put David Kampf on waivers, despite the injury to Scott Laughton. It was a tough decision, but it had to be done.
