Toronto Maple Leafs Reveal Why Anthony Stolarz Missed Practice Today
Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz did not participate at practice today and it led to fears that he had been injured by Senators forward Ridly Greig.
Overall, Anthony Stolarz had a sensational performance against the Senators on Sunday night as he turned aside 31 out of 33 shots.
It was a great performance at a key moment in the season with the Leafs looking to throw away the disappointments of the past and show that they can win in the playoffs.
So far, the team has played exceptionally well and in order to keep winning, Stolarz needs to be healthy. Unfortunately, that appeared to be at risk on Monday at practice.

It had been reported that Stolarz was not a participant. Considering he looked shaken up after being run into by Ridly Greig, many fans assumed the worst.
Stolarz has a history of injuries and there was this fear that he could have been sidelined for some time. However, all of those fears were put to bed after practice.
According to Chris Johnston of TSN, it was made crystal clear that Stolarz was out of practice today because the team simply wanted him to get some rest.
This makes a whole lot of sense especially when you consider how the team is back in action on Tuesday night in Game 2 against the Senators.
After a 6-2 win, the Maple Leafs are feeling confident, but they must make sure they keep their foot on the gas and keep pressing as the games get more important than ever before.
A first-round series win against Ottawa would build a lot of confidence. However, Florida or Tampa Bay would be right around the corner which is a scary thought.
Ultimately, the playoffs march forward and we presume Stolarz will get the start. He has most certainly earned it.
