This weekend, the Toronto Maple Leafs' rookie tournament is taking place against the team's biggest rivals like the Montreal Canadiens and the Ottawa Senators.
If you are a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, this is going to be a great weekend of hockey as the team's rookie tournament is set to take place.
This is a time when fans are able to watch the team's newest young stars compete for spots on the roster, or, at the very least, develop their games for the future.
Easton Cowan and Ben Danford will be active in the tournament, and there is sure to be a lot of fanfare around their performance.
Toronto Maple Leafs rookie tournament goes down this weekend
The rookie tournament will begin today, as the Maple Leafs are starting things off by taking on the Ottawa Senators. According to the Leafs, this game goes down at 1 PM.
Tomorrow, the Toronto Maple Leafs will take on the Montreal Canadiens at 3 PM. Two rivals will make this rookie tournament that much sweeter.
If you want to watch these games, the Maple Leafs will be providing streaming links closer to game time, so be on the lookout for that.
It is very unlikely that any of the players in today's games will end up on the Maple Leafs roster this season. While Easton Cowan has a shot, he would have to truly rise above the competition.
