Despite playing in games against teams with official jerseys, the Leafs' prospects had to settle for being considered less than their peers.

After an unruly playoff exit to the Florida Panthers, the Toronto Maple Leafs parted ways with Brendan Shanahan, which was a huge story at the time.
With Shanahan gone, the franchise is already changing the culture, and many would argue that these changes are for the better.
For instance, yesterday, the Leafs rookies got to wear the official Toronto Maple Leafs uniform for their tournament game against the Ottawa Senators.
Overall, the Toronto Maple Leafs got some good performances from Luke Haymes and Jacob Quillan, although Easton Cowan was a bit iffy.
Today, the Leafs are back in action as they are taking on the Montreal Canadiens, who are easily their biggest rival.
