At the trade deadline, the Toronto Maple Leafs got rid of Nikita Grebenkin for Scott Laughton, and to this day, the fanbase is showcasing disdain for Brad Treliving.
Nikita Grebenkin wasn't an offensive juggernaut during his brief stint with the Toronto Maple Leafs. However, he was full of life and personality.
Every single time he picked up a microphone, it seemed like something funny was going to come out of his mouth.
He had fully endeared himself to the Toronto Maple Leafs fanbase, which made it hard to see him go when he was dealt at the trade deadline for Scott Laughton.

Now, Grebenkin is trying to earn his way onto the Flyers, and he has been taking part in their rookie camp. Of course, his love for the media has sparked some more viral interviews.
For instance, the forward was making the rounds on social media for his enthusiastic comments at the Flyers podium.
The comments even made their way to Maple Leafs fans, who couldn't help but rehash the trade that sent him to Philadelphia.
Scott Laughton has not been what the Maple Leafs were hoping for him to be, and fans could not help but remind Brad Treliving of that fact.
While Grebenkin probably wouldn't even be a consistent NHLer at this stage in his career, Leafs fans would still love a personality like his around.
This season, we will get a true sense of whether or not this trade was a bad idea or not. For now, the jury is still out.
No matter what, we wish Grebenkin the best of luck going forward. We hope he is able to have a successful season in Philly.
