Tyler Bertuzzi has reportedly agreed to a deal with the Chicago Blackhawks after a deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs fell apart.

With Max Domi having signed an extension with the Toronto Maple Leafs yesterday, it was reported that the team and Tyler Bertuzzi were working together to hammer out extension as well. However, it now appears the two parties were unable to reach a deal and Bertuzzi will instead take his talents West.

According to the Empty Netters Podcast, Bertuzzi has agreed in principal to a 4-year deal with the Chicago Blackhawks.

Not sure this was on a lot of people's radars. Interesting landing spot

Bertuzzi, 29, played in 80 games for the Leafs last season scoring a total of 43 points including 21 goals and 22 assists.

Bertuzzi struggled early on in the year but proved his value down the stretch, locking him up is a good thing for the team, especially under a new head coach.
