William Nylander makes tone deaf comments after another bad Toronto Maple Leafs loss

Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander is having some real problems right now, and last night against the Washington Capitals, he simply wasn't good enough.
William Nylander is supposed to be one of the best players on the Toronto Maple Leafs. In fact, after 21 games, he had 32 points, making him one of the best players in the league.
Since that time, he has gone on to secure four points in eight games. This is a pretty horrendous slump, and playing with Auston Matthews and Matthew Knies can't even save him.
During a 4-0 loss against the Washington Capitals on Thursday night, Nylander had just one shot on goal and was rendered ineffective all night long.
It was a truly terrible performance, and one that drew the ire of his head coach, Craig Berube. At this point, the entire fanbase is fed up with what they are watching.
William Nylander can't answer basic questions
The fans aren't going to get much happier anytime soon, as Nylander had some non-answers following the game. For instance, the media asked him why this team can't string together wins.
This subsequently led to a tone deaf answer in which Nylander made the claim that he just doesn't know, and that this is a very difficult question to answer.
I don't know, it's a tough question.
If you are a Leafs fan, you probably feel as though this is a very easy question to answer, and that in every single fashion, Nylander and his teammates are not meeting the moment.
The Leafs now sit in second-to-last place in the Atlantic Division, and they are very close to being dead last, after winning the division just a season ago.
There is a lot to be upset about right now if you root for this Leafs team, and we can just imagine what the outcry will be if the team loses to the Nashville Predators and Dallas Stars on Saturday and Sunday.
