The Calder Cup Playoffs in the AHL have been wild thus far, and in a recent Abbotsford Canucks game, things got crazy as a fan tried to attack an announcer with a chair.

Hockey fans are known to be some of the most passionate in all of sports, but unfortunately, like in other sports, that can lead to some very crazy moments, and some can even happen during live broadcasts.
That's what happened in a recent AHL Calder Cup Playoffs matchup between the Abbotsford Canucks and the Colorado Eagles, as the play continued late in the first period.
However, as that play went on, the Canucks announcer appeared agitated, and then it became crystal clear that he was being attacked by a fan, reportedly with a chair in a scary situation as he was calling out the fan while still attempting to call the game.
According to reports, the announcer Brandon Astle had a chair thrown at him by a drunk fan, and thankfully, it was revealed that the chair simply hit him in the back of the leg, with no damage done in a scenario that could have turned ugly very, very quickly.
Despite some details coming out about this situation, it's unclear exactly what sparked this fan to behave in this manner or why he chose to attack Astle in a drunken rampage instead of another fan or anyone else in the arena, but thankfully everyone is okay.
This just serves as another prime example of why not everyone should be heavily drinking at sporting events, as things like this can unfortunately happen, and while it made for a very interesting moment on a live broadcast, it's not something that ever needs to be repeated.
