Brayden McNabb took a hard fall against the Oilers in Game 2, and now Bruce Cassidy has given an unfortunate update on his status ahead of Game 3.
The Vegas Golden Knights have gone down 2-0 to the Edmonton Oilers after two games played at home, and now, they face a must-win Game 3 on the road to get themselves back into this series.
There's been plenty of drama surrounding the end of Game 2 with the officials missing a blatant trip, and in the process of that, veteran Brayden McNabb went off the ice injured.
Unfortunately for Vegas, he won't be returning for that must-win Game 3, as Head Coach Bruce Cassidy has confirmed that McNabb will miss this game due to injury, with the team still reeling from the injury suffered to
Pavel Dorofeyev earlier in the series.
In positive news, he has made the trip to Edmonton with the team, so the hope is that regardless of the result in Game 3, McNabb could become available for a must-win Game 4.
In two games in Vegas, McNabb tallied no points and was a -3 for the Golden Knights, so while he'll be missed sorely by this team, getting a fresh face into the lineup may be the jolt that this team needs to get back into the series.
Ultimately, it was a terrible missed call from the officials that led to the McNabb injury in game two, and now Vegas continues to suffer due to the blatant trip, and if the team can't get back in the win column in Game 3, this series could be all but over.
