One of the most talked about prospect Matvei Michkov has fallen to the Philadelphia Flyers at the 2023 National Hockey League entry draft.
After so much speculation surrounding the Russian sniper and his attitude going into the draft, he's fallen to down out of the top 3, but not where people thought he would go. The Flyers absolutely landed steel at pick number 7th overall.
Between character issues being reported and the fact that the KHL has been influencing the top prospect, there's been a drop in his draft stock.
We'll see what's he's able to turn into when he comes over to North America in 3 years. No doubt the Flyers have shocked the hockey world by drafting him at 7, but they have have a top prospect, even if they have to wait for 3 years to come over.
