Trent Frederic left leaking after fighting Tanner Jeannot

The Boston Bruins and Tampa Bay Lightning are facing off tonight in an Atlantic division matchup. Both teams are trying to secure their playoff positions in what was already expected to be a physical game. Both teams attempted to set the tone early with physicality going back and forth.

Late in the first period Tanner Jeannot and Trent Frederic dropped the gloves in an attempt to energize their team. After a spirited go by both players Frederic was left leaking and he immediately headed to the locker room for repairs.





Both men receive 5 minutes for fighting on the play. At the end of one period both teams are currently tied, 1-1. The Bruins have not provided an update at this time about Frederic, is expected he will return for the second period. So far this season he has shown an incredible amount of toughness and it is unlikely that this will be enough to keep him out of the lineup for the rest of the game.
