In the Western Hockey League, the playoff race is heating up and emotions have boiled over as those teams searching for a berth in the post-season are battling for their lives.
In a recent game between the Medicine Hat Tigers and the Regina Pats, the latter of whom sit outside the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference, a fight occurred while the Pats were wearing uniforms from a famous cartoon show - SpongeBob.
The Regina Pats were wearing 'Patrick Star' jerseys and for those who aren't aware, he's a character from SpongeBob and to be fair, the uniforms turned out quite well.
Just over halfway through the second frame, with Medcine Hat up 2-1, Pats forward Jaxsin Vaughan dropped the mitts with Tigers defenceman Nate Corbet in what turned out to be quite a spirited bout. Vaughan landed the takedown in the tilt after roughly 30 seconds.
Check out the full tilt, along with the Patrick Star uniforms, in the video below!
