Radko Gudas of the Anaheim Ducks is one of those players that you love if he's on your team, and you likely despise if he's not. Gudas received a bit of karma from the hockey gods last night after a dangerous slewfoot on Lucas Raymond of the Detroit Red Wings that resulted in just a minor penalty.
Gudas was given two minutes for interference on this play, which was pretty much a textbook slewfoot.
Later in the night, Gudas was in front of his own net attempting to help his goalie on defence. That's when David Perron pulled off a blistering one-timer that caught Gudas right in the ribs. He was in a lot of pain, and needed help to make his way off the ice and to the dressing room.
Definitely a cringe-worthy moment as Gudas took that hard shot from short range. It was late in the game when the shot block happened, and Gudas did not return for the final 1:50. No word yet on possible damage or injury time. Meanwhile, Detroit scored with just over a minute left in the third to break the 2-2 tie and win the game by a goal.
