The Wild came away with the two points with a 4-2 victory but it ended up being a costly one for Minnesota. The 25 year old Russian native is having another fantastic season, with 39 goals, 35 assists, and 74 points in 65 games this year. He is the straw that stirs the drink for their offence. He leads the team in scoring with the next closest player being Mats Zuccarello with 59 points this season.
A fifth round pick for the Wild in 2015, Kaprizov spent six seasons in the KHL before finally playing in the NHL with the Wild in 2020-21. He's in the second year of a five-year contract with a $9M cap hit.
