Canada was taking on Switzerland as they look to build chemistry before the tournament gets underway on Tuesday.
During the second period, Canada exploded for four goals, but got a little bit undisciplined as well.
Projected first-overall pick in 2024, Macklin Celebrini, found himself ejected from the game after receiving a five-minute major for boarding. The Swiss player's head went into the boards quite hard, but thankfully he was okay.
Switzerland then headed to a five-minute powerplay, where they couldn't find the back of the net, but Canada added a shorthanded goal from Montreal Canadiens prospect Owen Beck.
There's no doubt that the IIHF Disciplinary Panel will be looking at this hit and there's a possibility he could be suspended, but we'll have to wait and see what happens.
Canada will open their 2024 World Junior tournament on Boxing Day at 9 a.m. ET against Finland.
