The 2022 World Juniors wrapped up last night with Canada securing gold, in a 3-2 overtime classic. Canada carried a two goal lead into the third period. Finland managed to tie the game and force overtime.
Finland came close in the overtime frame. The puck was on a Finnish players' stick in the slot and he flipped the puck over Canada's goalie Dylan Garand, but at the last minute, before the puck crossed the line Canada's captain Mason McTavish saved the game. Approximately a minute later Kent Johnson went down the ice and was able to win the game for Canada with a beautiful goal.
